More embarrassment trails Bill Cosby's reputation in 2016!

Now, George Washington University has joined Baylor, Brown, Tufts, Drew and Drexel universities to rescind the honorary degrees given to the iconic actor.

Cosby was awarded the honorary degree in 1997, and while last year, George Washington University claimed "honorary degrees are conferred at a moment in time, based on what the university knows about the honoree at that time. It has never been the university’s practice to rescind an honorary degree," they have rescinded the honor.

Steven Knapp, George Washington University president, released a statement saying the degree “has become a cause of renewed distress for our students and alumni who are survivors of sexual assault."

Cosby turned himself in on December 30 after been charged with aggravated indecent assault, first degree felony in the investigation of an alleged sexual assault case which has been hanging since 2004.

He was released on a one million dollar bail the same day.
