Four security forces members were killed on Tuesday in Jordan’s Southern Karak city in an exchange of fire with a group of gunmen, according to report.

Also on Tuesday, the Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attack in Karak castle on Sunday.

The Jordanian government said that it will continue security operations to arrest anyone who seeks to undermine the country’s stability and security in the aftermath of Sunday’s terrorist attack in Karak.

“We all stand united behind our armed forces and security apparatuses to face terrorism and crimes’’, said an official statement.
