CPP holds National Delegates Congress tomorrow

The national congress is slated for the auditorium of the Sunyani Polytechnic where voting would take place tomorrow.

Conventions People party(CPP) will hold its two-day national delegate congress tomorrow at Sunyani, Brong Ahafo Region.

The gathering is geared towards electing new national leaders ahead of the 2016 general elections. The national executive council will discuss matters affecting the party that impedes its growth.

The CPP with goes by the slogan, "forward ever, backward never'' hopes to use the congress to be on the forefront of the national political arena.

The congress will draw over 3,200 delegates from the 275 constituencies  in the country.

Mr Eben Agbenya Mawudor, Brong Ahafo Regional Secretary of the party, speaking to Daily Graphic aid everything was under control ahead of the congress.

He added accommodation for the delegates and party officials had been booked,  while the necessary logistics had been secured for a successful congress.

On security, Mr Mawudor said the Brong Ahafo Regional Police Command had put in place the necessary security arrangements to maintain peace and order before and after the congress.
