An overall review of the new flagship
The TECNO WinPad 2 is an upgrade in software, design, and performance when compared to its predecessor, the TECNO WinPad 10.
This device has raised the bars for Tecno tablets.
Design and Display
One cannot speak of the TECNO WinPad 2 without commending the sleek design of the detachable keyboard. The Champagne Gold device was built to seamlessly serve both as a tablet and a mini PC.
The TECNO WinPad 2 operates on the IPS technology for its HD display. This explains the vivid colors, brightness and wide view angles.
Performance and Connectivity
Thinking of a device with swift multi-tasking abilities and low power consumption? Then the TECNO WinPad 2 is for you!
The TECNO WinPad operates on the latest Windows 10 OS which is powered by a 64-bit Intel Atom Quad-Core1.92GHz processor and a 2GB RAM. The WinPad 2 supports 3G/4G LTE networks.
Battery and Storage
Your power situation got nothing on you this time! The TECNO WinPad 2 was built to make your social game stronger.
The 7000mAh battery capacity explains the tablet’s weight. On minimal usage, a fully charged WinPad 2 could last for over 10 hours which is twice better that most mini PCs.
The TECNO WinPad 2 comes with a 64GB eMMC storage and has an external memory card slot.
Camera
The device might not be the best choice for picture lovers, but who needs a tablet/mini PC for pictures anyway?
The TECNO WinPad 2 has a 5MP Rear camera with auto focus and a 2MP front camera.
Verdict
The only lagging detail in the TECNO WinPad 2 design is its lack of keyboard lights. I mean it's 2016, the device has a great battery capacity, aimed at the continuous flow of work with or without PHCN power, but no keyboard light??? Come on! External keyboard lights consume too much savable power.
If you think of this device as a tablet, then the weight might be something to be considered. Although, the battery capacity explains the weight of the device.
If you are looking for a Mini PC that can also serve all the social capabilities of a tablet this is for you!
