Lagos State wants to establish a “Mobile Science Academy”

Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode said the establishment of a mobile science academy is imperative to vision of Lagos becoming a model state.

According to Nigeria CommunicationsWeek report, Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, at the MoU signing, said the establishment of a mobile science academy is imperative to vision of Lagos becoming a model state.

Ambode, represented by his deputy Oluranti Adebule, said the agreement is also in line with the science and technology strategy for Lagos State which recognises science, research and innovation as priority programmes under the mega city project.

For his part, Michael Gotsche, Head of Market Area Africa, BASF West Africa Ltd, said both the Lagos State government and Basf West Africa have a shared interest in science and education.

At the time of writing this article, it is unclear what exact role the “Mobile Science Academy” will play and how it will directly affect the lives of Lagosians.
