It is not clear why the hackers decided to sabotage the transmission of the highly publicised fight.
On their twitter page, the Lizard squad claimed responsibility for the technical hitch that viewers experienced during the fight.
According to DownDetector, the following networks experienced transmission challenges: Charter, Time Warner Cable, DirecTV, Dish Network, and a host of others.
It is not clear why the hackers decided to sabotage the transmission of the highly fight.
