Search giant updates maps for iOS

The latest version of Google Maps will work on the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch which are running Apple’s iOS 7 and above.

Google has released a new version of their Google Maps app for Apple’s iOS device and the latest version of the app comes with some new features and a range of bug fixes.

Below are some of the new features that are available in the updated Google Maps app for iOS;

What’s New in Version 4.4.0

  • View a full-screen map by tapping an empty spot on the map
  • See transit line colors on the map when you get transit directions
  • Filter search results for Zagat-rated restaurants (where available)
  • Type, or tap the mic and say, “directions to” a place for faster results
  • Bug fixes
