While discussing the advantages of social media in product promotion, she highlighted that importance of having a strong product of good quality.

“You can promote your product on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, you can spend thousands of dollars on building your own website, to showcase your wears, but if the product that you’re selling is not strong, then all of that e-infrastructure is completely pointless”.

Balfour advised small brands to work hard to stay on top of their game.

“It’s really hard work. You have to believe in what you are doing, you have to believe in yourself”, she said.
