State government denies Buhari access to rally venue – APC

Buhari is set to hold his North-West zonal rally at the Murtala Mohammed Square in the state today, March 11.

The Kaduna State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has accused the state government of denying its Presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari, access to the venue of a proposed campaign rally.

Buhari is set to hold his North-West zonal rally at the Murtala Mohammed Square in the state today, March 11.

However, the party alleges that the state government has refused to permit it to use the facility despite the fact that preparations for the rally had reached an advanced stage.

“The PDP is jittery already. They are simply afraid of the popularity strength of the APC in the state and indeed the northern part of the state,” a party official, who chose to remain anonymous, told Punch.

The APC also accused state Governor, Mukhtar Yero of promoting violence saying that he had merely been paying lip service to the issue of peace.
