Bode George calls APC leader a hypocrite

George made the statement in criticism of Tinubu’s proposed law suit against Africa Independent Television (AIT) over the airing of a controversial documentary which the APC leader claims is defamatory.

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, Bode George has said that the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu is a hypocrite.

George made the statement in criticism of Tinubu’s proposed law suit against Africa Independent Television (AIT) over the airing of a controversial documentary which the APC leader claims is defamatory.

The PDP chieftain also said that Tinubu was constantly trying to imitate the late Obafemi Awolowo adding that the APC leader would never be like Awolowo.

“Papa Awolowo did so much for the Western region and the nation’s education and that is why every March 6, we remember him. The hood does not make a monk. He (Tinubu) started wearing round glasses, wearing papa’s caps and raising two fingers but he has forgotten the two fingers now,” George said while speaking with journalists on Monday, March 9.

“People like papa Lateef Jakande, General Mobolaji Johnson would be spinning wherever they are. Tinubu said he did a one-million-man march but that it is a joke,” George added.

“For 16 years they (APC) took us to a bridge that led us nowhere and now we are looking for the road to freedom because they have taken us to a point that future generations will not forgive them for,” the PDP leader said.

Tinubu earlier demanded damages of N20 billion from AIT for the harm done to his reputation by the documentary.

AIT, on the other hand, made a counter-demand of N100 billion in response to Tinubu’s allegations.
