Supporters of Senate President protest outside National Assembly [PHOTOS]

Some supporters of Senate President, Bukola Saraki, have held a protest outside the National Assembly complex in Abuja.

The Senate resumed on Tuesday after a six-week recess.

They protesters also warned anti-graft agencies in the country to stop allowing themselves to be used for political battles.

Saraki has been accused of assets declaration fraud by the Code of Conduct Bureau.

The Senate President is expected to appear before the Code of Conduct Tribunal on October 21, 2015, for further hearing of the case against him.

Meanwhile, 84 senators passed a vote of confidence on Saraki during the Senate plenary session which held on Tuesday.
