Here are three reasons Saraki has given for his absence at the tribunal:

  • "My absence from the Tribunal today, was based on counsel received that the tribunal will respect the decision of the Federal High Court."
  • "CCT Chairman & members who only take official oath and not judicial oath are expected to respect the decision of the superior court"
  • The Code of Conduct Tribunal is not properly constituted
