Charly Boy is selfish – Femi Adesina

Adesina said the the clash between Charly boy's group and pro-Buhari protesters was as a result of the former's plan to ethnicise the issue.

The presidential aide also described the move by the protesters as ethnicised and selfish.

According to reports, the anti-Buhari protesters were attacked by some supporters of President Buhari at the market.

Speaking on the incident, Adesina said the clash was as a result of the anti-Buhari protesters' plan to ethnicise the issue.

Addressing the pro-Buhari group on behalf of the presidency, Vanguard reports that the presidential aide said  “Just over the weekend we were with him in London and he told us that he has been following events at home very keenly. We want to thank you very much and urge you to keep this spirit of patriotism.

“This is our country, we have no other one. Whatever we make of it is what we get.”

He also said “Some people have made efforts to create ethnic cleavages in the country but that what the people from the Niger Delta region did today has reinforced faith that Nigeria will remain one.”

Wednesday, August 16, 2017, Charly Boy cancelled the ‘Resume or Resign’ protests reportedly following the Wuse market clash.
