Police Recruitment 705, 352 people apply for 10,000 job openings

Following announcement of employment opportunity at the Nigeria Police Force, the Police Service Commission (PSC) says it has received 705, 352 applications already.

With the Commission only approved to employ 10,000 people, it said the figure of applicants given was as at 7.30 a.m on Tuesday, April 19.

According to a statement issued on Tuesday by the Head, Press and Public Relations of the commission, 202, 427 applications were for the position of Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), 169,446, for the position of Cadet Inspector and 333,479 for the position of Constables.

The statement said that the commission would recruit 500 Cadet ASPs, 500 Cadet Inspectors, 1,500 Specialist Officers and 7, 500 Constables to meet the approved 10,000 new entrants into the Force.

The chairman of the commission, Mike Okiro, said that the process of receiving the forms has been smooth and transparent, assuring that the his team is committed to making the the exercise a huge success.
