Ex-President requests for made-in-Aba shoes

Ex-President Obasanjo has requested for a pair of made-in-Aba shoes after being impressed by Gov. Ikpeazu.

Obasanjo, it was reported, requested for the shoes on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at the  2016 edition of the Tony Elumelu Entrepreneurship Forum.

It was further reported that the ex-President was impressed by Gov Ikpeazu's speech on developing the state's business scheme, thus, requested to get a pair for himself.

He said: “So, Governor Abia, you have to send a pair of the shoes to me, I use size 42.”

Commending Ipeazu at the forum, Obasanjo said: “Governor, I listened to you and I commend you for what you’re doing in Abia. Please keep doing what you’ve told us you’re doing."

Obasanjo has been at the forefront of promoting Nigerian made products, one which he dedicated time and resources to during his eight years democratic rule.
