‘Soldiers die because they’re scared to death,’ Militants say

NDA also accused the Nigerians government of killing innocent soldiers by sending them to battle unprepared.

Niger Delta Avengers

The group made the comments via a series of tweets posted by spokesman, Brig-Gen Mudoch Agbinibo.

He said:

“They are scared to death because they cannot swim, so they drown all the time. The Federal Government is just killing innocent Nigerian soldiers. With the millions put into the Operation Crocodile Smile exercise, see the dead boats given to them to fight militants.”

The government earlier said that it would negotiate with the militants for the purpose of ensuring peace in the volatile region.
