Ex-Gov is against chieftaincy review for political reasons - Balogun

Olakunlehin recalled how he and another high chief had pleaded with former Gov Ladoja, a member of the Olubadan-in-Council, to support the review.

Rashidi Ladoja

Speaking in Ibadan on the review proposed by the incumbent Governor, Abiola Ajimobi, Chief  Olakunlehin said the only reason Ladoja has refused to support the review is nothing aside political.

Olakunlehin recalled how he and another high chief had pleaded with  former Gov Ladoja,  a member of the Olubadan-in-Council, to support the review.

He, however, alleged that Ladoja refused to support the review for political reasons.

The chief called on the people to support the review, saying those opposing the reform are bent on politicising it.

Ladoja is yet to respond to Chief Olakunlehin's allegation though there are reports that he has rejected the review proposed by Gov Ajimobi saying he has no right to take such step.
