The House of Representatives  has resolved to probe former president Goodluck Jonathan's administration on sale of power assets.

In a resolution on the motion titled, "Alleged Non-transparent and Fraudulent Sale of Power Assets by the Bureau of Public Enterprise, BPE”, the House lamented the lack of openness in the processes leading to the sale of Nigeria’s power infrastructure to private investors by the Jonathan administration.

Reps member, John Chike Okafor representing Ehime Mbano/Ihitte Uboma/Obowo Federal Constituency of Imo State, who sponsored the bill, emphasised the importance of power to every business, family, public or private institution, household and the general growth of the nation’s economy.
