He said the drug was neatly concealed in 220 cartons in the truck.

” The search revealed three tonnes and 80kg of Stopcof Lictus CoughSyrup with Codeine concealed in 220 cartons in the truck,” Kibo said.

He said when the driver and his assistant were arrested  they claimed that the goods belonged to a pharmaceutical company and that they were travelling from Minna  to Jalingo.

He said that investigations revealed that there was no fixed address for the delivery of the consignment.

“This goes to show that the movement of the substance was with criminal intention and investigation is going to unveil the truth of the matter,” Kibo said.
