Government to pay workers 90% salary

He explained that this was in view of the budget support from the Federal Government to states.

Niger State Governor, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello.

Bello, who announced this at a meeting with traditional rulers in Minna on Monday, said it was also the result of consultations with the labour unions in the state.

“Seventy per cent of all incomes accruing to the state, the FAAC and Internally Generated Revenue, and 30 per cent from budget support will be given to NLC to pay salaries.

“The 70 and 30 per cents will pay 90 per cent of workers basic salary.

He commended the leaders for supporting government policies and programmes for the development of the state.

Leader of the traditional rulers, Etsu Nupe, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, called on the people to continue to support the administration to overcome its economic challenges.
