LAWMA boss advises residents to embrace healthy lifestyle

Ogunbiyi, who made the call on Monday in Lagos during an interactive session with journalists, urged the residents to embrace clean and environmental friendly attitude to promote healthy environment

Mr Abdulwahab Ogunbiyi, Managing Director, Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA), has called on residents of the state to embrace healthy lifestyle.

Ogunbiyi, who made the call on Monday in Lagos during an interactive session with journalists, urged the residents to embrace clean and environmental friendly attitude to promote healthy environment.

"Many people still have the attitude of throwing waste indiscriminately thereby affecting the environment The responsibility of keeping the city clean is in the hands of the government; it should be part of our culture to ensure we put our waste at the right place of disposal."

"In the market place, every shop owner should ensure he/she have waste basket; owners of commercial transport should also ensure they have waste basket in their vehicles,’’ he said.
