Association distributes admission forms free to 60 indigent students

He said the association would expand the scope of the scheme to accommodate more beneficiaries.

Banganna District Development Association in Kalgo Local Government Area of Kebbi said it had distributed free admission forms to 60 indigent students in the state.

Alhaji Attahiru Mohammed, the Chairman of the association made the disclosure in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Kalgo on Sunday.

He said the forms were distributed free of charge to qualified indigent students of the area, adding that the forms were for admission into NCE and Diploma programmes.

Mohammed said the association had spent N125,000 to procure the forms that to enable the beneficiaries secure admissions into polytechnics and colleges of education.

``We are determined and committed to promote the educational quest of our people,``he said.

Mohammed added that the association procured the forms from the monthly contribution of members.

He commended members for prompt and consistent payment of their monthly contributions.

The chairman said the first batch of the beneficiaries included 30 males and 30 females.

He said that the association would support them with small stipends when they secured admission into schools of their choice.

One of the beneficiaries, Bagudu Ibrahim, lauded the efforts of the association, assuring that they would justify the resources invested in them.
