The Speaker of the Assembly, Alhaji Kabiru Rurum, made the declaration in press statement signed by the Director of Press, Kano State House of Assembly Alhaji Kabiru Koki.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) recalled that on Thursday, the house lost Alhaji Hamisu Gurjiya, its member representing Minjibir Constituency, after a brief illness.

According to the statement, the three-day mourning will begin from Feb. 22.

In the statement, the speaker prayed to God to forgive the deceased give the family the fortitude to bear the loss.
