State Governor weeps at scene of herdsmen attack

About 300 herdsmen invaded the community with guns and machetes, reportedly killing about 40 people.

 

The Governor was accompanied to the area by the Enugu State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Nwodibo Ekechukwu, the GOC 82 Division, Nigerian Army, Major General Ibrahim Attahiru, the Enugu State Commandant, and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).

Pulse recalls that about 300 herdsmen invaded the community with guns and machetes, reportedly killing over 40 people and leaving hundreds injured.

Report said many survivors, with varying degrees of injuries on the head, neck, and other parts of the body are currently receiving treatment in different hospitals in Nsukka.
