Ahmed who spoke on Friday in Bauchi while briefing newsmen on the activities of the command, said one Mahmud Tanimu who hatched the plan was arrested.
Police Command foils attempted jail break
The Bauchi State Police Command have foiled an attempt by Mahmud Taminu to break into a Federal Prison in the state.

He explained that Tanimu had concluded plans with his accomplices to break the jail on the fateful day to free his brother being remanded in the prison.
Ahmed further explained that the brother to Tanimu, whose name was not mentioned, was standing trial for alleged terrorism.
He said the command, following intelligent reports dispatched its anti-terrorism squad who foiled the plans.

The commissioner said that Tanimu was subsequently arrested by the police.
