Retired Major General's case against Nigerian Army adjourned

Ex-Major General, Ijioma Ijioma's case against the Nigerian Army has been adjourned by the National Industrial Court.

The adjournment is coming following the appeal from Ijioma's counsel, Mike Ozekhome, who was represented by Benson Igbanoi.

The hearing was earlier adjourned on October 12, 2016 as the court could not proceed with the case because it was not clear which counsel represented the Minister of Defence, Chief of Defence Staff and Chief of Army staff.

The Nigeria Army Council and Chief of Army Staff, were represented by Michael Owolabi, who opposed the application, saying that no cogent reason was given.
