Former President Goodluck Jonathan has left Nigeria for Zambia on Friday, August 5.

He is billed to lead the African Union Elections Observation Mission (AUEOM) in the country’s election scheduled to take place on October 11, 2016.

The former president announced his departure on Twitter.
