US gives Nigeria N458bn to reduce poverty by 2020.

The United States has given the Nigeria $2. 3 billion (N458 billion) to reduce poverty in the country by 2020, report said.

The Federal Government received the money through the US Agency for International Development in a developmental assistance agreement signed by vice president, Yemi Osinbajo and USAID/Nigeria director, Michael Harvey on Tuesday, September 29, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

According to Harvey, these activities will stimulate inclusive economic growth, promote a healthier, more-educated population, and strengthen good governance.

“This agreement will provide a solid foundation for our two countries to partner together to reduce inequalities across the country,” Harvey said.
