'Her mother knew about our affair,' teenager's abductor says

He added that Mrs Oruru, the 14-year-old's mother, knew he was taking her daughter to Kano and was aware of their love, but said Ese's father was ignorant of the affair.

 

Speaking at the premises of the court, Yususa, 18, claimed responsibility for Ese's five months old pregnancy.

"The Mother know say we dey go Kano. But the Father no no."

Yunusa, who was charged for the abduction and rape of Ese, further said he had been sleeping with the girl even before he left with her to Kano and that Mrs Oruru was also aware of that.
