How President's wife battled severe health crisis during and after elections

She said she was sneaked to Germany in January for a major surgical procedure.

President Goodluck Jonathan wife, Dame Patience has said she suffered severe health crisis during the election campaigns that necessitated her being sneaked out of the country for medical attention, which she said was a top secret.

‘Mama Peace’ revealed  this on Sunday, May 17, at the Aso Villa Chapel during a farewell service to honour them.

She said she was sneaked to Germany in January for a major surgical procedure, disclosing that during the campaigns, she pretended everything was fine with her in the morning by attending the campaign rallies, and by evening she was discreetly flown to Germany on the last flight.

The president’s wife recounted that she went back to Germany for another surgery after the elections were over - but to her amazement, it turned out that the surgery was not necessary anymore as she was miraculously healed.

She said the doctors decided to carry out last-minute tests before wheeling her into the theatre, and it was discovered that  she was healed.

“I went through four different hospitals in Germany for the test and they returned a verdict that it was no longer necessary to do the surgery,” she said.

However, she did not disclose the nature of the ailment.
