President orders removal of 22 directors from budget office

14 other senior officials have been posted from various MDAs, to replace the redeployed officials.

 

Buhari was said to have approved the removal of the officials from the Budget Office on Thursday, March 10, being part of a service-wide posting involving about 184 senior staff in various ministries, departments and agencies, in the federal civil service.

The redeployment, as announced by the Office of the Head of Service of the Federation, affected four directors, six deputy directors and 12 assistant directors.

They are expected to resume at their new stations on Friday, March 11.

According to report, 14 other senior officials have been posted from various MDAs, to replace the redeployed officials.

It is however believed that the removal of the officials from the Budget Office is as a result of the 2016 budget padding.

The President had promised to punish those behind the national embarrassment.
