In a bid to improving the security of lives and property of Lagosians, Governor Akinwunmi Ambode on Friday, November 27, commissioned Patrol vehicles, motorcycles, Armoured Personnel Carriers (APCs), gunboats and helicopters.

At the handing over ceremony in Ikeja, the Governor handed the security tools to the Nigerian Police and the Rapid Response Squad (RRS), Lagos Command.

Present at the occasion were the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Solomon Arase, Commissioner of Police, Mr. Fatai Owoseni and Minister for Interior, Lt.Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazua (rtd.).
This is coming after Nigerians, especially Lagos residents have accused Ambode of under performance since he assumed office - with many bemoaning the increased security lapses in the state.
