Senior Advocate denies shunning EFCC's invitation

A Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Adeniyi Akintola has denied shunning the invitation of EFCC.

Lawyers during an induction

The Senior Advocate has reportedly denied receiving any invitation from the EFCC, claiming he had just met with the Attorney General of the Federation in Abuja.

In a report by SaharaReporters, Chief Akintola was said to be in Abuja to defend a judge before the National Judicial Council (NJC) following a petition by a litigant.

It is unclear if Chief Akintola's meeting with the Attorney General has anything to do with any judge in trouble.

Akintola is said to be one of the 30 lawyers that are currently being investigated by the men of the EFCC for corrupt practices following a petition of top lawyers bribing judges.

Also invited were Paul Usoro,  Chief Gabi Adetola-Kaseem, as well as Chief Felix Fagbohungbe.
