Overall, this car is simply beautiful and surprisingly functional, which was the company's intention.
"What really made a difference is it showed the world you could make a compelling electric car. What was unique was that it was the first really great electric car.
Before, people thought the electric car would be slow and ugly. We wanted to show that wasn’t true. The roadster is fast and beautiful and has great performance", Musk said.
