Housing Commissioner announces plans to adopt IT based innovation

The Commissioner for Housing, Prince Gbolahan Lawal, has revealed the state's solution to fraud, data management and other challenges.

According to the Commissioner for Housing, Prince Gbolahan Lawal, who made the announcement in an interview with news correspondents, this system will be IT based.

Lawal said this new innovation, the Lagos Estate Management Information System (LAGEMIS), will provide a safe haven for all real estate transactions.

Thus, making the state, an attractive investment destination for people interested in conducting business in a transparent place.

“At the core of the new system is the accumulation and management of valuable data relating to Real Estate Transaction. This is geared towards LAGEMIS transaction reforms which include a complete overhaul of its present operation, system information management, record keeping and retrieval to improve its productivity and consequently its revenue generation base," he added.

Nigeriarealestatehub reports that this new system will also provide a solution to corruption, data management and other issues, associated with the Lagos State Tenancy Law.
