Would You Buy This Car for N600m?

Worldwide, Nigerians are known to spare no expense when it comes to acquiring material possessions, especially automobiles. The pothole-ridden roads, and struggling economy not withstanding, it is no surprise to see the likes of Aston Martins, Bentleys, Porsches, Lamboghinis, and Bugattis, being  driven regularly on the streets of cities like Lagos, Port Harcourt and Abuja. And just when we thought there is no car anywhere in the world that can go beyond the $1m-plus benchmark after the Bugatti, in comes the hyper-exotic Icona Vulcano.

Reasons the Icona Vulcano is worth $3.8m or N600m

Since its debut at the Shanghai auto show, the hitherto unknown Salon Privé puts the Icona Vulcano in the context of other high-end automobile manufacturers – not to mention customers who might actually be able to afford the car’s surreal sticker price.

Powered by a hybrid V-12 engine, the Icona claims the Vulcano delivers upwards of 900-horsepower and can reach a top speed of 217 mph.

This exotic car accelerates from 0 to 120 mph in only 9.0 seconds. That’s about how long it takes the average cars to reach 60 mph.

Though some 50-hp power output short of the Bugatti Veyrons, the Icona Vulcano can reach a comfortable highway cruising speed, of 120 mph in less than 10 seconds. Icona estimates a 0 to 120 mph time of 9.0 seconds flat.

However despite its fantastic body design within the Concepts & Prototypes Display, and a supersonic speed acceleration can you cough out a whooping N600m to acquire this beauty?
