Why I almost fought with Mummy G.O. of my fellowship

I joined this fellowship on campus due to their resilience. While we the freshers were trying to navigate through the registration processes, the sisters will just drop from heaven and start helping you out with everything you need. If you tell them you are hungry, before you know it, they have packaged something for you to eat. It's okay to say food is also one of the reasons I joined.

After spending a whole semester at the fellowship, I decided to join the workforce. Nobody, I mean nobody prepared me for what I was going to meet in that fellowship until I was fully inducted.

It was all fun and anointing oil when one day, the Mummy G.O. of my fellowship saw me hugging one of the guys in my department.

“Sister Enny!” She screamed like someone that had just seen a ghost. I turned and waved at her, only for her to nod her head in response. That was embarrassing but I swallowed my pride.

Two days after the scene, Mummy G.O. tapped me during fellowship that I must see her before the close of the day, and I agreed to do so. After waiting around for what seemed like eternity, Mummy G.O. showed up in front of me.

“You, why were you hugging a man?” She asked,

“Oh, if you're talking about the guy you saw with me yesterday, he’s just my coursemate and friend, and I hadn't seen him in a long time until two days ago when you saw us.”

“Ehhehn,” she remarked, smiling sheepishly. You know that you should stay away from men on this campus so they don't stain your white, when you are out of school you can date any man of your choice, she said rubbing her palms on my shoulder. You must be alert and avoid these men so they don't distract you from the heavenly race, she said. And I nodded in agreement.

At the end of the semester, we had dinner with the final year students of my fellowship. Everyone was dining and dancing when we heard the MC say, settle down everyone, something big is about to happen. Everyone was curious and looking around when I saw a brother with flowers, walking towards my favorite mummy G.O.

“This cannot be what I’m thinking,” I muttered under my breath. Until I saw the man kneel in front of mummy G.O., and popped the question “WILL YOU MARRY ME?”

Haba, she cannot say yes na, someone that is just about resuming her final year. “Yes! I will marry you!” was the last thing I heard, and there was an uproar in the auditorium.

The same Mummy G.O.? Cannot be you ma. Because how did you go from being single to “I said YES” in one second.
