The 41-yr-old LGBT and HIV advocate posted a photo on Instagram of himself and his 40-yr-old fiancé, shopping for wedding rings in South Africa.

"And today we went wedding ring shopping in South Africa. #weddingrings #blackandehitewedding #gaywedding," he captioned the photo.

Alimi who has been open about his sexuality became the first gay Nigerian to come out in 2004. He also announced he was HIV positive in 2009 and fled Nigeria to seek asylum in the UK . Bisi and Anthony got engaged in September 2015.

He was listed third on the 100 most influential Non White Atheist and Freethinkers in Britain and Northern Ireland.
