Watch What Happened When This Guy Tried Recreating Mark Wahlberg's Intense Daily Schedule

It's no secret that Mark Wahlberg keeps to a notoriously rigorous diet and schedule . The actor blew everyone away when he first shared his daily agendawhich starts with him getting up at 2:30 in the morningin 2018.

This Guy Followed Mark Wahlberg's Intense Schedule

Fitness enthusiasts have since started to attempt the extreme regime for themselves; Will Tennyson called the experience "insane" and vowed to never do it again. But YouTuber Jesse James West believes he has the discipline to make it through the day, Wahlberg-style.

The first thing Wahlberg does after waking is pray at 2:45, so West takes that time to meditate before making breakfast. "I was actually in a really good state of mind," he says. "I can see why he does this in the morning. I do like it, just not this early."

Then he eats his first meal of the day, oatmeal with peanut butter and blueberries (650 calories), before tackling his first workout, which consists of four exercises in circuits: pull and press, stationary lunge and press, dead bug bench press, and jumping lunges.

"Honestly, I thought I was going to hate it," he says, "but it turned out a little bit better than I thought it would, I've got a nice shoulder pump." West finishes off with some light cardio, then it's time for breakfast #2: three turkey burgers with sweet potatoes and a protein shake (780 calories).

After a 6 a.m. shower and a brief, unscheduled nap, West heads out at 7:30 for a round of one of Wahlberg's favorite pastimes: golf. And even though he admits that his swing is "horrible," he is so dedicated to adhering to Wahlberg's regime that he even attempts to play left-handed... with minimal success.

Golf is immediately followed by a snack of 10 turkey meatballs (538 calories), and then next up on the agenda at 9:30 is a stint in a cryotherapy chamber . West recreates the effect of the expensive treatment by pouring himself an ice bath. "I've been an athlete my whole life, I've done these many times," he says. "They never get easier."

At 10:30 am he eats his third full meal: chicken, eggs and avocado with salad (429 calories). "It feels like it's 4 o'clock right now, even though it's only 10:30," he says. "I like this feeling, because I feel like I've got so much done, but I also am kind of confused, I have no perception of time."

Come 11 a.m., it's time for a few hours of work, and then he breaks for lunch (steak and green beans totaling 394 calories) at 1 p.m. Shortly after, he crashes, and while Wahlberg would be taking meetings or work calls, West is busy napping.

At 3:30 p.m., West forces down another snack, this time grilled chicken and bok choy (226 calories) in order to get ready for his second big training session at 4 o'clock. "I am just exhausted, I don't feel like doing a single thing, and I have to work out still," he says, before rallying and pushing ahead to do his upper body circuit workout: pullups, curls, tricep extensions, and side raises.

West follows the workout with a shower, and his final meal: cod and bok choy, bringing his total daily calorie intake to 3,070. After that, the only thing left on his schedule is a 7:30 p.m. bedtime.

At the end of the challenge, he has learned just how much you can pack into a day when you get a decent head start although you don't necessarily have to set your alarm quite as early as Marky Mark's.

"You don't need to wake up at 2:30 a.m., but definitely try waking up a little bit earlier," he says. "I like waking up at 7, but I think I might bump that to 6."
