What to do when you add too much salt

Over-salting food is every cook's nightmare, it completely ruins the food. However, there may be a way out.

Salt

It happens to the best if us, and then we panic. Sometimes the meal ends up in the thrash can because it is simply not palatable.

Here is a simple trick that takes care of this cooking disaster:

All you need to do is wash and peel off the skin of a potato. Then cut the potato into two pieces and add to the over-salted food.

The potatoes should remain in the food for about 10 minutes after which it should have absorbed the excess salt from the food.

Alternatively, you can add a little sugar to the food. While this will not reduce the salt in the food, it will balance out the sodium.
