Speaking at the formal presentation of the book titled “Insurgency and Human Rights Violations in Northern Nigeria”, the centre’s Executive Director, Malam Zakari Yau, said the events in north-east prompted the book, adding that it is a compilation of researches aimed at highlighting realities of happenings in the affected zones.
He said insurgency and communal violence are stunting economic growth of the country, while noting that the North-east part is the worst hit.
