How singer proves she’s the ambassador for streetwear in Nigeria

Outside of music, one other thing that makes the Mavin Records singer stands out is her fashion sense.

Outside of music, one other thing that makes the Mavin Records singer stands out is her fashion sense. Tiwa Savage’s fashion style drifts across many expressions. The singer mixes things up in her fashion style based on the occasion. When she’s on stage, she’s barefoot, in a dazzling co-ord set; on the red carpet, she’s the belle of the ball.

Despite having a girlish style, in recent times, Tiwa’s one of those females who’s not afraid to embrace streetwear both on and off screen. Outside of her shows and other events, her approach to fashion is casual, fun and relaxed. Here are some moments where the singer’s shown off her savvy street style.

Braids

Earlier this year, Tiwa Savage ditched her weaves for braids. In April, 2017, she rocked long light brown cornrow braids. Since then, she’s rocked braids several times and channeled her creativity in the patterns and the colours. On the cover of her new EP, she rocks long black and white braids.

Keeping it cool in sweats

When she’s on the road or about to jet out to a new city, she’s experienced in travelling in style. Most times Tiwa opts for matching sweat pant suits.

The bold hair statements

When she’s not rocking her natural hair of braids, she rocks wigs/weaves - curly, long, short, ‘fro, purple, black, blonde - you name it. She’s bold enough to experiment.

Staying casual

Consistently in shape
