The Dawn of Style According To Genevieve – By Africans, For Africa
A while back, we were the receptors of western fashion. Our top fashion looks were extremely western in cut, look and feel. The paradigm has shifted as we have become one of the major players in indigenous designing. African fashion is now being celebrated worldwide and even forms the backdrop for most western designs. At the recently concluded Arise Magazine fashion week, African designs dominated the runway. The designs were edgy, colorful, bold, and chic, all a representation of the designers creativity. This month on Genevieve Magazine , the spot light is on three major designers who have taken African fashion to the next level: Sonny Rose, Binitie Tsemaye and Toju Foyeh.
