Wearing makeup on blemished skin (acne, bumps, blackheads etc) may be a daunting task especially when not well done.

Covering acne, pimples and more with makeup can come out perfect or very messed up! In cases where skin blemishes are not well 'concealed' the look come off funny/tacky which takes away from the whole look.

Acne is a common skin disease that can be daunting to tackle. It's a condition that affects the appearance of the skin (blemishes) which can cause low self esteem,  reduce self confidence amongst making the skin lacklustre/unattrative.

While it's important to know how to makeup for acne prone skin (note that layering on foundation is not the way to do it!) its best to make sure the skin is kept in the best state possible, healthy skin is key for a flawless makeup look.

For applying makeup on blemished skin, it's first important to colour correct, for oily skin, start off with primer to ensure products stay in place. Colour correcting before applying foundation largely minimizes the appearance of spots on the face before all other products go on.
