Pop star bitten by snake during performance dies on stage

An Indonesian popstar who reportedly continued her performance following a snake bite on stage has been reported dead 45 minutes later.

The popstar identified as Irma Bule, 29, had carried on performing for 45 minutes after being bitten by a cobra, before she reportedly collapsed and died on stage.

The report reveals that Bule had been attacked mid-performance in the village of Karawang, West Java, by a venomous snake.

Mailonline reports that the snake had bitten her thigh, releasing its poisonous venom into her blood stream before a snake handler had been able to pull it off.

The singer known for her use of poisonous snakes during performances including boa constrictors and pythons in previous acts, had reportedly refused the offer of an antidote, following the snake attack, after believing that the King Cobra, called Rianti, had been defanged.

The reports reveal that the popstar had continued singing for 45 minutes, before she had begun vomiting and having seizures.

Bule had later been confirmed dead after being rushed to a nearby hospital.
