Rap legend Tupac Shakur’s songs will hit the Broadway stage in an upcoming musical title, Holler If Ya Hear Me. The new musical is set to premier on June 10 at the Palace Theatre in New York City.

According to the show’s director, Kenny Leon, “Tupac is a prophet and I want everyone to see that. [Holler If Ya Hear Me] is a present-day musical using all of Tupac’s music, but Tupac is not a character in the musical,”
Meanwhile reports from Broadway.com state that the show will instead be focused on a tale of “friendship, family, revenge, change and hope.”
TuPac was assassinated in 1996 at age 25.
