Ex-governor, sons granted N75m bail

Former Jigawa state governor, Sule Lamido and his sons, Aminu and Mustapha have been granted bail of N75 million.

 

Former Jigawa state governor, Sule Lamido and his sons, Aminu and Mustapha have been granted bail of N75 million.

The Federal High Court in Abuja gave the ruling on Tuesday, July 14.

Lamido and his two children were remanded in Kano Prison on July 9 and were flown to Abuja on Monday, July 13, for their bail hearing, which was presided over by Justice Gabriel Kolawole.

Lamido allegedly misappropriated N1.3 billion during his tenure as the Governor of Jigawa State.
