Four students have been declared wanted in Ebonyi State for gang-raping a 16-year-old girl to coma.
Four secondary students identified as Jeremiah Odah, Dick Alo, Ofobuike Alo and Obumnaeme, have been declared wanted by the police in Ebonyi State for allegedly gang-raping a 16-year-old girl to coma, reports Sun Newspaper.
The incident reportedly happened at Okpoitumo Community in Ikwo Local Government Area of the state when the four boys, two of them brothers, invaded the home of the girl whose name was given as Gladys Edward, when her parents had gone out, and asked to sleep with her but when she refused, they beat her up and forcefully took turns raping her till she lost consciousness and is currently battling for her life in a private hospital.
After raping her, the students, all of Galaxy Foundation Secondary School, Ndiofoke Amagu, in the same local government area, were said to have carried the unconscious girl from her house and dumped her in a bush where she was found two days later by a search party organized by the community.
According to the medical report conducted on the girl, she sustained serious internal injuries in her body including her private parts during the assault.
The matter was reported to the Ebonyi State family law center while the boys have since disappeared from their hostels and the community.
