A reverend escaped death by the whiskers during a gas explosion while in his lover's house.
A Reverend gentleman serving with the Awka Anglican Diocese in Anambra State, narrowly escaped death during a visit to his secret lover when a gas exploded in the house, leaving him seriously injured while the lady died in the inferno.
According to crime blogger, Juliana Francis, the incident happened on Tuesday, July 12, 2016, at the alleged lover's house located at Allen Avenue in Awka, an area largely inhabited by students.
The reverend father has however, been flown abroad for medical treatment.
A resident of the area who spoke on the incident, said the priest’s girlfriend died in the inferno while the secret lover sustained high degree of burns.
“The reverend father’s relative is a friend and he did not say anything different from what we all know. The girl died on the spot but the priest was hurriedly smuggled away and we heard that he has been flown abroad, apparently to cover traces."
"The family and the church want people to stop covering this story. What do they want to achieve by hiding this story. The truth should be told and shame the devil.”
