An housemaid in Kenya has been charged to court for killing her employer's infant baby.
It was gathered that the baby, Mercy Nanzala, was left in Tongole's care together with her three year old brother, by their mother on February 11, 2016, but by the time the mother got back home, the baby was found dead and Tongole was no where to be found as she had ran away.
When a post mortem examination was carried out on the late baby, the results revealed that the toddler had been hit on the head with a blunt object.
The police therefore declared the nanny wanted and she was later arrested in her hideout in her village.
Though she pleaded not guilty to the charge of murder, the judge refused to grant her bail and ordered that she be remanded in prison till the next adjourned dates of July 18 and 20, 2016.
